We will contact you by telephone within 24 hours of making your online reservation to confirm your booking and take payment. If your booking is made outside of office hours at the weekend and over Bank Holidays we may take up to 48 hours to return your call. Alternatively, you are more than welcome to call us to confirm your booking at your preferred time within 48 hours of making your online reservation. We accept all major credit and debit cards except AMEX. There is no charge for debit card transactions, a surcharge of 2.5% is added to all credit card transactions. Please be assured we DO NOT charge a booking fee for our holidays. Our office opening hours are: Mon-Fri 9.30am-5.30pm; Sat 10.00am-5.00pm. We are closed on Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays.
The Deckhouse is the first of its kind in the UK! Interestingly, it was first constructed in the Exhibition Hall at Earls Court for the 2011 Ideal Home Show. As the former show house it is fitted with the latest in luxury fittings including an extensive Poggenpohl kitchen with top of the range Siemens appliances including steam oven, combination microwave, warming drawer, conventional oven and built in coffee machine as well as dishwasher and induction hob. The 3 bathrooms boast the latest fitting designs from Hansgruhe complemented with tiling by Porcelanosa.
From its deconstruction at The Ideal Home Show to reconstruction in North Cornwall, The Deckhouse has attracted some press attention. Amanda Lambs show on Sky Living has filmed the build from start to finish. The Deckhouse has been selected to appear on the next series of her show due to be featured on Sky Living later this year. Maggie Colvin from Ideal Home is visiting The Deckhouse with her team shortly and is planning to feature the house in their '25 Beautiful Homes' issue this summer.
On entering The Deckhouse you are embraced by its enormous open plan living, kitchen and dining space, with double height ceilings and significant number of windows adorning plenty of light. The well appointed state of the art Poggenpohl kitchen features a long island unit with breakfast bar and 2 leather stools plus there is a glass dining table with 8 leather dining chairs. There is a separate utility room with a sink, washing machine along with an iron and ironing board.
The Deckhouse has 3 sumptuous bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The master bedroom features a double bed with quality mattress, solid wood bedroom furniture, iPod dock and flat screen TV. It offers an en-suite shower room with a slate feature wall, shower cubicle, sink, toilet, heated towel rail, back-lit mirror, makeup mirror and shaver socket.
