From your Holiday Door

Whether young or just young at heart loose yourself in the enchanting garden as it gently slopes down to the coast.  Granite steps lead you to waterfalls, past the leat and on to the tranquil mill pond.  A gate leads directly onto the National Trust South West Coastal Path, winding its way past the azure blue seas that flank the cliffs.  For those walking enthusiasts this scenery is unsurpassed.  Quiet pockets of garden allow complete serenity and welcome a lazy chair and good read.  There is a sheltered courtyard with Lily pond and trickling water away from the prevailing wind for breakfast or lunch in the sun, or a lower garden terrace outside the cellar for an evening overlooking the sea.  The main Loggia offers covered views and an outside dining space.  A walk to the Gurnards Head for lunch is recommended or enjoy the local life of The Tinners Arms in Zennor just a ten minute walk away.  Head up the coast to the popular town of St Ives, a working fishing harbour and mecca for budding artists.  Whatever the occasion Carn Cobba is the perfect exclusive Cornish retreat for couples, a crew of friends or extended families wanting to stay in one of the finest, luxury holiday homes that Cornwall has to offer.

A rather unique and awe-inspiring property with wonderful gardens and views. We had a peaceful and relaxing time at this house, it is secluded but not too far from amenities. Just lovely!

The house itself is like the kind of homestead which might be featured on Grand Designs.

Just back from a wonderful week at Carn Cobba, Zennor. What an amazing place in such a spectacular position. Despite some wild, wet and windy weather it was a joy to watch the ever changing view and when the sun came out it was heavenly. The garden is a delight and visitors to it provided some entertainment(choughs, rabbits, pheasants, kestrels to name a few). The house is spacious and plenty of room for the 10 of us. It is obviously a well loved family home and full of really lovely paintings and ceramics, so nice to be trusted to share those. We loved it all!

Such a beautiful house in a perfect setting.

Jackie Baker

The photos can't compete with reality and the sheer beauty of the garden is underrepresented.
