Carn Cobba truly is an inspiration; from the unsurpassed sea views, romantic wild garden to the flawless interiors this beautiful cliff top home really is somewhere very special to spend time with friends and family.  Located in a stunning cliff top location this majestic home is the perfect backdrop for celebrations or family holidays in all seasons. Choose from 7 boutique bedrooms each with an individual style and offering accommodation for 10 guests (maximum). Carn Cobba is just 7 miles outside of St Ives and is set within Zennor, a picture perfect West Cornwall village with country pub and local church.

The Property

Built in 1938 this superb country home has been lovingly renovated with luxury and comfort in mind.  From the moment you arrive you are filled with a great sense of space, warmth and calm.  Flooded with natural light throughout, the fresh white walls are warmed by the rich oak flooring and statement nautical inspired artwork is a nod to this very special coastal setting.  Thoughtfully spaced over two floors, each of the five bedrooms with five bathrooms offer a peaceful sanctuary away from the comings and goings of Carn Cobba life.  A perfect family state-of-the-art kitchen ensures guests are well nourished whilst the beautiful living space with original bay window and open fire is the perfect haven to gather.  The dining area complete with coastal backdrop creates a memorable atmosphere for a casual brunch or more celebratory occasion.  From the cosy underground nook complete with open fire to the spacious attic study come play area, Cornish Gems are delighted to offer this first class holiday home from home.

Carn Cobba is a magical place and we have enjoyed the most wonderful week there.  The house, it's grounds and the views are all simply stunning.  Also the concierge service was excellent from Surfing to the private chef.  Such a great week all round.

Whether young or just young at heart loose yourself in the enchanting garden as it gently slopes down to the coast.  Granite steps lead you to waterfalls, past the leat and on to the tranquil mill pond.  A gate leads directly onto the National Trust South West Coastal Path, winding its way past the azure blue seas that flank the cliffs.  For those walking enthusiasts this scenery is unsurpassed.  Quiet pockets of garden allow complete serenity and welcome a lazy chair and good read.  There is a sheltered courtyard with Lily pond and trickling water away from the prevailing wind for breakfast or lunch in the sun, or a lower garden terrace outside the cellar for an evening overlooking the sea.  The main Loggia offers covered views and an outside dining space.  A walk to the Gurnards Head for lunch is recommended or enjoy the local life of The Tinners Arms in Zennor just a ten minute walk away.  Head up the coast to the popular town of St Ives, a working fishing harbour and mecca for budding artists.  Whatever the occasion Carn Cobba is the perfect exclusive Cornish retreat for couples, a crew of friends or extended families wanting to stay in one of the finest, luxury holiday homes that Cornwall has to offer.

Testimonials

The house itself is like the kind of homestead which might be featured on Grand Designs.

As featured in Hedge Magazine January 2012 Edition

The photos can't compete with reality and the sheer beauty of the garden is underrepresented.

A rather unique and awe inspiring property with wonderful gardens and views. Peaceful and relaxing times at this house with lovely seclusion but not too far to go for amenities, etc. Just lovely!

The house was stunning and easily matched the images on the internet.
