Investors in People

Cornish Gems has been awarded the Investors in People Gold standard, joining the top 7% of accredited organisations across the UK who believe in realising the potential of their people.

Launched by entrepreneurs Julianne Shelton and Nadia Macer-Wright in 2007, Cornish Gems has enjoyed steady growth as the first holiday letting agency to offer property owners a fully managed service.

Today, Cornish Gems are well recognised as the 'go to' company for renting luxury holiday homes, cottages and apartments throughout Cornwall and employ over 100 people - the real 'gems' of the business.

Investors in People is the UK's leading accreditation for business improvement through people management, with a focus on good people making great business.

Paul Devoy, Head of Investors in People, said: “We’d like to congratulate Cornish Gems on their Gold standard. Such a high level of accreditation is the sign of great people management practice, demonstrates a commitment to staff development and shows an organisation committed to being the very best it can be. Cornish Gems should be extremely proud of their achievement.”

Commenting on the award, Cornish Gems Managing Co Director Nadia Macer-Wright said: “Julianne and myself are both extremely proud to achieve Investors in People Gold standard. As business leaders, this award demonstrates we're at top of our game when it comes to managing people. Our effective management training, ability to harness talent and create a good work-life balance within our team shows how we lead the way as a reputable employer in Cornwall. It's vital to us that our team do feel valued and proud to work for our dynamic, innovative and professional company with an ethos of striving for excellence through continuous improvement.”
