Star icon A beautiful Cornish cottage overlooking Coverack

Sheltered on the eastern side of the Lizard Peninsula, Coverack is one of Cornwall’s most enchanting fishing villages, where whitewashed cottages tumble towards the shoreline and the harbour gently curves around a sparkling blue bay. Life here moves at a slower, salt-kissed pace, with fishing boats, sea air and coastal views creating a wonderfully timeless Cornish atmosphere.

Pair this dream destination with the luxury of Trevanion Cottage and you have all the ingredients for a memorable coastal escape. With wonderful sea views, thoughtful interiors and a peaceful village setting, this beautiful cottage is made for lazy mornings, beach days, scenic walks and evenings spent unwinding after time by the water.

Trevanion Cottage brings together coastal character and relaxed luxury for up to 6 guests. The open-plan living and dining space is perfect for gathering after a day exploring, while the cottage kitchen, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms offer comfort, style and ease throughout your stay.

Every detail has been carefully considered to create a calm and welcoming holiday home. Soft coastal tones, layered textures and thoughtful finishes reflect the beauty of the surrounding landscape, while the sea views offer a constant reminder that the coast is close by.

Outside, the attractive courtyard garden provides a lovely spot for morning coffee, relaxed lunches or evening drinks as the day slows. The owners have introduced low carbon features and shown sensitivity to regional biodiversity in the landscaping, creating a home that feels both luxurious and thoughtfully connected to its setting.

From your door, wander along quiet lanes to Coverack’s harbour and sandy beach, where days can be spent swimming, kayaking, rock pooling or simply watching village life unfold beside the water. The South West Coast Path is close by too, inviting coastal walks filled with sea views, hidden coves and the wild beauty of the Lizard Peninsula.

Whether you’re planning a summer holiday by the sea, a peaceful walking break or a cosy coastal retreat out of season, Trevanion Cottage offers a truly special base in one of Cornwall’s most captivating coastal villages.

Step Inside

Trevanion Cottage is a detached Cornish cottage set over two floors, beautifully positioned just a short stroll from the sights and sounds of Coverack. From the moment you arrive, the charm of village life and the calm of the coast feel wonderfully close.

Step into the hallway and instantly soak up the stylish interiors, original cottage character and relaxed coastal ambience. Thoughtfully restored and beautifully dressed, the cottage blends traditional charm with a fresh, contemporary finish that feels both elegant and deeply welcoming.

The ground floor offers an attractive fitted kitchen where guests can create holiday menus inspired by the very best of the local area, from seasonal produce to the freshest fish landed from the bay. Whether preparing lazy breakfasts, beach picnics or simple suppers, this is a kitchen made for easy coastal living.

From here, lead into the hub of the cottage: the open-plan living and dining space, beautifully set against blue sea views and the backdrop of the village. This relaxed room invites long meals, quiet mornings and cosy evenings, with the coastline always present beyond the windows.

Dressed in a fresh coastal palette of sage greens and marine blues, the living space feels serene and restorative in every season. Enjoy fireside suppers in the cooler months, or slow summer afternoons switched off from the bustle of everyday life, with sea air, village charm and gentle light setting the mood.

A wet room completes the ground floor layout, adding practicality after beach days, coastal walks and time spent on the water.

A central staircase leads from the living space to the first floor, where 3 attractive bedrooms and a family bathroom await. Each bedroom has been individually styled to complement the location and character of the home, with bespoke interiors, beautiful beds and luxury linens for the perfect night’s sleep, with only the sounds of the sea to disturb.

On Your Doorstep

An attractive elevated courtyard garden sits to the rear of Trevanion Cottage, with access from the first floor. Private and peaceful, this lovely outdoor space invites guests to enjoy morning coffee in the sea air, al fresco dining, or a Cornish cocktail before supper as the village begins to settle for the evening.

The village of Coverack and its sandy beach feel like an extension of your outside space, with the harbour and shoreline just a few minutes’ stroll away. At low tide, rock pools reveal their treasures for children to explore, while the wide stretch of sand offers a safe and scenic place to stretch out, breathe deeply and enjoy the beauty of the bay. Dogs are welcome on the beach all year round, making it a wonderful choice for four-legged companions too.

With its sheltered position on the Lizard Peninsula, Coverack’s clear swimming waters are tempting in the warmer months and wonderfully invigorating for winter dips. The village has a warm and welcoming community feel, with day boat trips, relaxed cafés, local pubs and curio shops bringing gentle life and character to the harbour.

For those seeking adventure, Coverack offers plenty to enjoy. Try a windsurfing lesson with the local watersports school, take to the water by kayak or paddleboard, or follow the South West Coast Path for some of the most breathtaking seascapes in Cornwall. This stretch of coast is rich in maritime history, with views towards the Manacles rocks, infamous for the shipwrecks that have shaped local stories for generations.

The wider Lizard Peninsula is a joy to discover. Visit nearby Mullion for harbour walks, beaches and dramatic cliffs, or head to Cadgwith, a picture-perfect fishing village where thatched cottages, working boats and a timeless Cornish atmosphere create a memorable day out. A little further along the coast, Kynance Cove is a must-visit, famed for its turquoise waters, white sand and striking rock formations – one of Cornwall’s most iconic and photographed beaches.

As Britain’s most southerly peninsula, this is a landscape of wild beauty, hidden coves and unforgettable coastal adventures, making Trevanion Cottage a perfect base to explore it all.
