Coverack is a small village, full of heart. Sheltered on the eastern side of the peninsula, this beautiful fishing port has a lot to offer; it sits within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is home to a small pebble and sand beach, and there are some lovely eateries in and around the area. Plus, there's plenty of opportunity for adventure, from windsurfing lessons to kayaking and wild swimming. From Tydl, stroll to the beach in moments, enjoying lazy days in the summer, and wild, windswept walks in the colder months. At low tide, the beach is an exciting playground for children with rockpools to examine, and for the four-legged among you, it welcomes dogs year round.
The infamous Manacles reef is located just off Coverack’s coast, and has claimed its fair share of ships over the years, adding to the area’s rich maritime history. This underwater graveyard has made the harbour a hotspot for divers, eager to explore sunken treasures and vibrant marine life that thrives in these waters.
The wider Lizard Peninsula claims the title of one of Cornwall's most unspoilt corners. From the bright turquoise waters of Kynance Cove, to the sub-tropical gardens and beautiful woodland of Helford, there's natural beauty at every turn. The area is exposed to all of nature's moods, often treating its visitors to stormy scenes between November to February.
