Star icon A frontline sea view home with open gardens, just a short walk from the beach

There is something truly special about The Lizard Peninsula and the tucked-away setting of Col Ros, an exceptional coastal home overlooking Polurrian Cove.

Perched on the cliffs, this remarkable retreat offers generous space for friends and family to gather and enjoy an authentic taste of Cornwall at its finest.

Sweeping sea views are captured at every opportunity, from the open-plan kitchen and dining area to the relaxed sitting room and five beautifully appointed bedrooms.

Outside, a spacious terrace with hot outdoor shower and BBQ leads down to rolling lawns, all framed by a breathtaking seascape. There is parking for 4 cars and an EV charger.

From your doorstep, a garden path winds its way to the South West Coast Path and down to Polurrian Cove - a quintessential sandy beach with crystal-clear waters perfect for swimming - or onward for invigorating walks along the dramatic coastline.

The charming villages of Mullion, Cadgwith and Coverack are all within easy reach and well worth exploring.

Absolutely stunning property. Everything was of the highest standard and so homely. We holiday as a group every summer, and this was the nicest property we've stayed in. We're already chatting about when to return. The view from the window is beautiful, the well-kept garden and then the sea. Spotlessly clean and an extremely well-equipped kitchen. Simply can't fault it.

Step Inside

Follow the single track lane and arrive at Col Ros, a detached two storey home set in a beautiful landscaped garden.

Once inside, Col Ros ensures ample space for all the party to spread out and step straight into a laid back holiday life. The kitchen and dining space is certainly the hub of the home where budding chefs can get creative with local ingredients and family meals are enjoyed around the table long into the evening.

Lead through to the light-filled sitting room where over-sized windows capture and frame the sea views perfectly. In the winter months, watch the waves crash over the rocks from the comfort of your fireside sofa or throw open the doors from the sun room in the sunny months and extend your footprint into the garden.

Two of the five bedrooms are located on the ground floor and a family bathroom and practical utility come boot room complete the ground floor layout.

A central staircase leads to the collection of three beautiful bedrooms on the first floor plus a family shower room. Each bedroom offers a personalised style, the finest beds and linens and wonderful sea and rural views.

On Your Doorstep

At the foot of the garden, a private gate opens onto the lane, providing direct access to the coastal path, which leads down to the sandy shores of Polurrian Cove in approximately eight minutes. Often quieter during the summer months due to its access via the coast path, Polurrian Cove remains a peaceful escape from the crowds.

The Lizard Peninsula is a natural playground waiting to be explored. Picture-perfect coves including Kynance Cove and Poldhu Cove, along with nearby Mullion, are all within easy reach.

Visit Lizard Village, home to the most southerly point on the British mainland, or explore the characterful fishing villages of Coverack and Cadgwith.

If watersports are on the agenda, the opportunities are endless - snorkel with seals, kayak through the creeks and inlets of the Helford River, or learn to dive among historic shipwrecks.

From relaxed days on the beach to unforgettable coastal adventures, you can tailor your stay at Col Ros with the help of our Guest Experience team. Contact them on 01872 241241 (option 1) to start curating your luxury break on The Lizard.
