Inspired by the far western side of Crantock Beach, one of Gemma Lessinger’s favourite places to swim, this beautiful piece captures the tidal pools and crystal-clear turquoise waters of this much-loved stretch of the Cornish coast.
Created to evoke the peace and tranquillity of being beside the water, the artwork uses sand to build depth and texture into the 3D rocks, while repurposed fibreglass from surfboard manufacturing creates a breaking wave that appears to roll from the canvas.
