Q. Can we bring our dog(s) and is a pet supplement charged?

A. Yes, we have some wonderful properties where dogs are welcome. More than 1 dog may be permitted upon request. A small pet supplement is payable (either £29.00 or £50.00 depending on the property).

Q. Are discounts offered for last minute reservations?

A. Our last minute discounts automatically update 2 weeks before the holiday start date. These can be viewed online by clicking the red last minute deals button at the top of our home page. Sign up to our e-newsletter, Facebook and Twitter pages to keep well informed on up-to-date last minute deals and promotional offers.

Q. Can I be assured the property has been checked regarding all the necessary fire risk assessments, insurances, certifications etc (eg Landlord Gas Safety Certificates)?

A. Yes, all our properties have been assessed by our experienced Property Managers and do not go live on our website for you to book until we are satisfied they are suitable and ready for letting.

Q. If I want to book an advance holiday what deposit do I pay?

A. One third deposit (33.3%) is payable to secure a reservation.

Q. When is the balance payable?

A. The balance is payable 28 days before your holiday commences. If you book a holiday within 28 days of your chosen holiday date, the full balance is payable to secure a reservation.

Q. How can I pay?

A. We accept all major debit or credit cards over the phone, a 2.5% charge applies with credit cards. We do not accept AMEX or cheques. We also accept bank transfers (international guests - please be aware of currency fluctuations and bank charges).

Q. Do I have to pay a damage deposit when I stay?

A. Yes, this is normally £250 (and can increase up to £1000 for the Cornish Cribs properties).

Q. When do I pay the damage deposit and how does it work?

A. A pre-authorisation (usually £250) is held on the debit or credit card used to pay the balance (unless otherwise specified) on the day of arrival. The monies are pre-authorised for approximately 7-10 working days and will cancel off automatically after this time. Should damage have occurred during your stay we will contact you within 7 working days of your departure.

Q. Do I need to bring linen and towels?

A. No, all linen and towels will be provided for your stay. Beds will be made up for the full capacity (unless otherwise stated). Linen can be provided for sofa beds upon request (at no extra charge). Linen is not provided for cots.

Q. What else is inclusive within the price?

A. Unless otherwise stated, the following are provided inclusive of the price/no extra cost:

• All utilities
• Washing up liquid
• Cloth
• Bin bag and pedal bin liners
• Toilet rolls (at least 1 per bathroom)
• Guest soaps
• A starter kit of logs where properties have open fires or log burners

Q. Are short breaks available?

A. We offer 2 - 4 night short breaks on many of our properties from the beginning of October through to the end of March excluding school holidays. Short break prices are listed on the applicable property pages.

Q. Are cot and high chairs provided? If not, can we hire them through Cornish Gems?

A. Many of our properties are equipped with cots and high chairs. These items will be listed in the property "key features" where applicable. Unfortunately we do not hire out cots and high chairs, you are welcome to bring your own.

Q. Are the kitchens equipped with the essentials?

A. All of the kitchens in our properties are well stocked with cooking essentials. We provide owners with an extensive inventory list so there should be everything you require for your stay.

Q. What features are included?

A. All property features are listed on each property page under the "key features" tab, from wifi and TV's through to dishwashers, washing machines and description of outside space/parking.
