Steps lead down to a lush green lawn, creating a safe and enclosed space for children and dogs to play freely. To the front, a smaller bistro table with four chairs offers a peaceful spot for morning coffee as the day begins.

Leave the car behind and pack up for the beach, just a 5-minute walk away. Trevone is tucked beneath the beautiful Trevone Headland and offers crystal-clear swimming waters, a sandy beach, a laid-back surf shop and a welcoming beachside café. It is a wonderful spot for swimming, surfing, sandcastle building and beach picnics, with rock pools to explore at low tide and wide open skies that make every coastal walk feel special.

Just around the headland lies a quieter cove, known locally as ‘Rocky Beach’, perfect for rock pooling, exploring and enjoying a slower pace away from the main beach. For walkers, the South West Coast Path runs close by, hugging the coastline with breathtaking views in every direction. Head north towards Padstow or south towards Harlyn, Constantine Bay and Treyarnon, discovering hidden coves, wide sandy beaches and dramatic clifftop scenery along the way.

St Helen’s House is ideally positioned for exploring without always needing the car, with a scenic footpath leading towards Padstow, just 1.5 miles away. This much-loved harbour town is only a 10-minute drive away and offers a vibrant mix of restaurants, cafés, independent shops, galleries and boat trips.
