Step Inside

Mill Cottage is a traditional Cornish cottage that has been beautifully reimagined with a more contemporary interior style, where Farrow & Ball tones, modern comforts and thoughtful design sit effortlessly alongside the character and charm of the original home.

At the heart of the cottage is the open plan kitchen, dining and living space, a warm and sociable setting where holiday life unfolds with ease, from slow sunny breakfasts around the table to relaxed evenings spent unwinding after days by the sea.

Whether you are returning from the cove with salty hair and sandy toes or settling in for a cosy night indoors, this welcoming space is designed to make time together feel easy, comfortable and wonderfully restorative.

Overlooking the garden, the large sun room offers an additional place to retreat, bringing a lovely sense of light and calm and providing extra space for children to play or adults to sit quietly and switch off for a while.

A practical utility room and cloakroom complete the ground floor, adding a welcome layer of ease and convenience to this beautifully arranged cottage.

Upstairs, three luxurious bedrooms and two spacious bathrooms continue the sense of understated comfort, with crisp white bed linen and bespoke country-inspired furniture creating a restful coastal feel throughout.

After long walks along the cliffs or refreshing swims in the sea, the two generous bathrooms offer the perfect setting for a well-earned post-beach pamper.

Please note: the bushes are currently obstructing the view.

On Your Doorstep

Throw open the glass doors of the sun room and step out onto the sunny terrace, where a dining table with seating for all sets the scene for slow breakfasts, relaxed lunches and long evenings in the open air.

Follow the sun around the cottage and discover thoughtfully placed benches offering quiet corners for elevenses, a good book or simply a moment to pause and breathe in the sea air.

Below, the enclosed wildflower garden is a lovely space for children to explore, complete with a charming thatched stone potting shed that adds to the cottage’s storybook appeal.

From your holiday door, Mullion Cove is just a three-minute stroll away, making it wonderfully easy to embrace the beauty and rhythm of this very special stretch of coastline.

Dating back to 1895, the harbour is steeped in history and full of coastal charm, where crab and lobster boats bob gently beneath the shelter of the harbour wall and visitors seek out the little beach revealed through the cave at low tide.

Enjoy an ice cream on the harbour wall, linger over a traditional Cornish cream tea or a leisurely lunch at Porthmellin Tea Rooms, and soak up the atmosphere of a place that feels both timeless and quietly magical.

Mullion Cove has long captured imaginations and has even served as a film location, adding another layer of romance and intrigue to its already unforgettable setting.

The clear waters of the cove are perfect for a refreshing swim, while the South West Coast Path is easily reached and leads you across some of the most breathtaking scenery in the county.

Nearby Mullion, the largest village on the Lizard Peninsula, is a handy and welcoming hub for everything you might need, from freshly baked bread and good pub lunches to independent shops and local essentials.

The Lizard Peninsula itself is one of Cornwall’s most extraordinary landscapes, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where dramatic coastlines, hidden coves and picturesque fishing villages invite endless exploring.

Cadgwith and Coverack are both well worth a visit, full of character and charm, while the crystal-clear waters of Kynance Cove and the sweeping sands of Kennack Sands and Housel Bay make unforgettable days out by the sea.

Whether you are drawn by cliff walks, wild swimming, cream teas or simply the joy of discovering somewhere truly beautiful, Mill Cottage places the magic of the Lizard right on your doorstep.
