Really superb quality house. The top bedroom was exceptional for its space, brightness and folding doors to the balcony providing the most amazing views. The house is really well equipped and everything in it is of a high standard. Really easy to walk in to town and only moments away from Porthminster Beach. Great to have parking too.

On Your Doorstep

To the rear of Penayr, a small courtyard terrace catches the sunshine beautifully, with a bistro table and chairs creating a peaceful spot for a quiet morning coffee or an evening glass of wine.


On the lower ground floor at the front of the house, the tucked-away super king en suite bedroom enjoys its own private courtyard with bistro seating and independent access to the street, offering an added sense of privacy and flexibility for guests.


Above it all, the penthouse bedroom opens onto a full-width balcony with truly breathtaking sea views, where a small table and chairs invite slow starts to the day and peaceful moments spent gazing out across the bay.


From this elevated position high above St Ives, the town unfolds below you, with its beaches, harbour and lively streets all within easy walking distance, simply follow Primrose Valley down towards the sea.


Porthminster Beach is the closest, an award-winning Blue Flag beach much loved for its sparkling clear water, soft white sand and wonderfully relaxed atmosphere.


For a memorable meal, dine right on the beach at Porthminster Beach Cafe, a celebrated restaurant known for its superb local seafood and exceptional coastal setting.


From the sand, the path continues towards the harbour, where fishing boats still bring in the daily catch and the timeless rhythm of St Ives life plays out against a backdrop of bobbing boats and gleaming water.


If you can tear yourself away from the beauty of Porthminster, Bamaluz and Porthgwidden offer their own quieter charm, while Porthmeor on the Atlantic side is the place to head for surf, sea air and wider open skies.

  • From the front, there are 8 steps up to the front door. From the rear of the house, there are 12 steps down to the back door.
  • The house is set over 4 levels (lower ground, ground, 1st and 2nd floors). There are 5 sets of internal stairs with a handrail.
  • The lower ground floor bedroom can also be accessed via its own private entrance directly from the front street (via 5 steps)
  • Draycott Terrace and the lane to the rear of Penayr are not through streets and are narrow. The owners have two private parking spaces at the rear of the property and daily permit parking on Draycott Terrace to the front of the property. Guests are provided with one permit for each day of their stay which may also be used for free parking at the train station car park during the evening/overnight.
