October half term, the Cornish way
October sits in a sweet spot between summer and winter, when wetsuits and wellies both earn a place in the suitcase. The beaches are quieter, the coast feels a little wilder and autumn colour moves through Cornwall’s woods, gardens and countryside.
Spend the morning rock pooling or catching a wave, follow a stretch of coast path, head out for a woodland wander or make a day of Cornwall’s half-term events and attractions. Then return to your Gem for hot chocolates, film nights, games and an evening together while the weather rolls past outside.
The participating homes have been selected with family stays in mind, giving you the space to slow down, spend time together and make the most of half term. Whether the day calls for sea air, muddy boots or staying somewhere cosy for a little longer, there is room to make October your own.
What’s included in the Wet Weather Bundle
Each complimentary Roarsome Wet Weather Bundle includes:
- A waterproof jacket
- Matching waterproof trousers
- A pair of wellies
Choose from Spike the Dinosaur, Sparkle the Unicorn, Reef the Shark or Hop the Bunny waterproofs, available in sizes 2–3 years to 6–7 years. Wellies are available in green, purple or blue, in sizes EU22–EU29.
How it works
Book one of the participating Cornish Gems featured on this page by 9th October for a stay between 16 October and 1 November 2026, using promotional code ROARSOME at checkout.
Once your booking is confirmed, we’ll send you the Cornish Gems x Roarsome order form so you can choose the designs and sizes you need. You can redeem up to two bundles per booking; if you’re ordering two, simply complete a separate form for each child.
Your bundle will be sent to the delivery address provided on the form, rather than to the Cornish Gems property where you’ll be staying.
Terms & Conditions
- Offer valid on qualifying stays at selected Cornish Gems properties between 16 October and 1 November 2026. Bookings must be made by 9th October 2026.
- The promotional code ROARSOME must be entered in the promo code section at checkout for the booking to qualify.
- Maximum of two complimentary Roarsome Wet Weather Bundles per booking.
- Each bundle includes one waterproof jacket, one pair of waterproof trousers and one pair of wellies.
- Designs, sizes and colours are subject to availability.
- Qualifying guests will receive a Cornish Gems x Roarsome order form once their booking has been confirmed.
- A separate order form must be completed for each bundle being redeemed.
- Bundles will be sent to the delivery address provided on the order form and will not be delivered to the Cornish Gems property booked for the stay.
- The offer has no cash alternative and cannot be exchanged for another product or service.
