February Half Term In Cornwall – What’s On

From the tropical rainforest bridge-in-the-clouds, the culture of the Aboriginals to the colour and dance of Rio, discover far-flung continents and try exotic new challenges. The Eden Project is a spectacular place to visit and a favourite among the Gems team.

Training the Troops at Pendennis Castle.  18 – 22 Feb

Falmouth is steeped in maritime history and this half term the iconic Pendennis Castle, overlooking the sea, steps back in time to the second world war to find out what life was like to defend this important location. Crawl through tunnels or walk the plank, this interactive, cultural experience will involve the whole family.

February Half Term in CornwallTrelissick Gardens’ Signs of Spring Trails. 16 – 24 Feb

Spring starts to appear with the arrival of the snowdrops in Cornwall. Grab a trail sheet from the team at Trelissick Gardens  near Falmouth and hunt out those emerging blooms. Dogs are welcomed in the surrounding parkland with wonderful walks leading down to the River Fal.

Paradise Park Pirates and Fairies Treasure Hunt. 16 – 24 Feb

This colourful wildlife park has it all. Including penguins and otters, the Jungle Barn indoor play area and acres of parkland, Paradise Park is a wonderful place to visit for all ages. This February half term, swap holiday wear for pirate and fairy outfits and join the treasure hunts to claim a prize.

National Maritime Museum ‘Science at Sea’. 10-18 FebFebruary Half Term in Cornwall

Atoms, molecules and all things chemistry await this half term. The National Maritime Museum in Falmouth has embraced science at sea so expect expert-led shows, audience participation and an epic journey of earth’s water and its importance. Located in the heart of Falmouth, combine this fun experience with a day out sight-seeing around the area.
