Padstow is just a 20 minute drive away and really does offer something for everyone from high adrenaline boat rides on the Camel Estuary, crabbing off the quay to boutique souvenir shopping. Not to mention the tempting cafes, restaurants and pubs including Paul Ainsworth’s Number 6 and Rick Steins Seafood Restaurant. If it’s a day on the beach then head to the fine golden sands and blue seas of Harlyn Bay, Trevone or Treyarnon Bay or further up the coast to Daymer Bay and Polzeath. The market town of Wadebridge is approx 15 minute drive away and great for a browse around, choose to hire bikes and hit the Camel Trail along the estuary. St Issey is a small Cornish village with a lovely local pub which you can walk to from the house. There is also a recreational park nearby.
