We caught up with the owner, Richard, to share with you what makes Morva so special…

Tell us about you and what connects/draws you to Cornwall, and more specifically Carbis Bay? 
Having spent family holidays here we were drawn Cornwall and its lovely beaches. I enjoy sea swimming and Carbis Bay is a perfect place relax and swim – the beach is stunning and the facilities are fantastic. Carbis Bay is within easy reach of many of Cornwall’s wonderful attractions.

What do you recommend most to guests in the Carbis Bay area? 
The beach is gorgeous, the food is fabulous, for foodies there is a Michelin star restaurant  a short walk away, there is a train station just minutes away that links you to St Ives is minutes for a approximately £1 per person each way, you can also walk approximately 25mins along the coast path to the heart of St Ives and Porthminster Beach.

What stood out to you about Morva, what was the potential you saw in the property? 
Spectacular views, and a private, secluded garden, the panoramic elevated views and walking access to the beach – what more could you ask for?

Talk to us about the inspiration behind the interiors. 
The interiors are spacious, luxurious, light, comfortable, with beautiful furniture and artwork. Morva has been designed to maximise its potential, many rooms rooms benefit from the the sea view, and has many nods to the seascape it enjoys. The finishes are eclectic but work in harmony, everywhere you go there is something to admire.

You’ve landscaped the garden beautifully and made a fabulous social space with the luxury of a hot tub with sea views – tell us what you envision for guests in this space. 
The garden has so much potential for guests, individual spaces, shared spaced, dining areas and relaxing zones. The multi level design allows the garden to flow and deliver privacy – The hot tub is located to give the guests privacy whilst giving a beautiful view of the sea. Subtle garden lighting enhances the use of the garden from dusk.

What makes Morva an experience like no other? 
Morva feels special from the moment you step inside. Morva not only has close access to the beach and SW Costal Pathway but it is also close to Gwithian, 3 miles sands, Godrevy Ligthouse which can all been see from all levels of the property with its majestic views. Morva is only 20 mins drive from the South Coast Beaches and St Michaels Mount – it is hard to feel disconnected from all that Cornwall offers – a truly magical area is on your doorstep, so if you prefer to stay local or travel to the wonders of Cornwall such as St Michaels Mount, Lands End, Minack Theatre, then Morva is perfect for you. If you feel that more adventure is needed then the heliport and airports offering flights to the Scilly Isles are also within easy reach.
