This grand modern detached holiday home has been well equipped throughout to create a splendid coastal retreat.  Situated adjacent to the picturesque Hayle Estuary, an RSPB nature reserve, this home offers great accessibility to some of the finest golden beaches and sights in the heart of West Cornwall.  With five pretty bedrooms, The Eider House is perfect for families or large groups.  The frequent branch line train is only 5 minutes walk away and arrives in St Ives in 8 minutes, offering some breathtaking coastal views along the way.

The Property

Thoughtful design and fresh, inspired decor await.  A spacious hallway and open plan dining room complete with polished white dining table and 10 rattan chairs offers a stylish space to enjoy a home cooked supper or family breakfast.  The open plan dining room leads into the contemporary kitchen, fully kitted out keeping even the most discerning chefs happy.  A smaller cafe style table is great for children to dine early or enjoy some quiet creative time.  The sitting room is wonderfully comfortable and is decked out in soft mossy greens, whites and more striking blacks, this vibrant room is a lovely space to relax or socialise.  The central staircase leads you to a tempting collection of bedrooms.  Each bedroom has a unique feel from the characterful artwork to the vibrant soft furnishings.  Sink under quality linens and enjoy a restful night in this peaceful home.  The top floor Velux windows offer a glimpse of the tidal waters of the neighbouring RSPB nature reserve.

French doors lead from the sitting room and kitchen and spill out onto the secure, fenced patio garden - a versatile space to dine, children to play or dogs to come and go and enjoy the Cornish sunshine from morning till late.  The Eider House is located just one mile from Porthkidney, a picturesque beach adjoining the Hayle Estuary which is dog friendly all year round.  Breathtaking views can be enjoyed from this beach to St Ives Bay right across to Godrevy Lighthouse and beyond.  There is a lovely walk from the property along the Saltings which leads you to the beach and the West Cornwall Golf Course.  The charming branch line train is only 5 minutes walk away and arrives in St Ives in 8 minutes following the breathtaking coastline.  St Ives offers a cosmopolitan approach to coastal living with uber-smart cafes, delicious restaurants and boutique shops.  Whether an afternoon to wile away the hours by the fire or enjoying the sun trap patio for lazy mornings, The Eider House is a wonderful, modern coastal retreat to enjoy your holiday in Cornwall.

How can I make a reservation?

Online:

  1. Select the property you wish to book
  2. Choose Availability/Prices
  3. Choose the date you wish to book on the calendar
  4. Register/complete/submit the online reservation and pay the monies due

WHAT DO I PAY AND WHEN?

Advance bookings:

  1. Pay 1/3rd deposit to secure your holiday (33.3%) now and pay the balance 4 weeks before your holiday

Last minute bookings:

  1. Payment in full required for all holidays booked within 28 days of arrival

You can pay securely online or over the phone via Sagepay.

Cautionary Deposit:

  1. A cautionary deposit of £250.00 is required prior to your check in. The day before your arrival we will pre authorise your balance payment card for this amount. Should you wish to use an alternative card then please ensure you have this card readily available when making your balance payment. (Please note you can use a credit card for this without incurring any charges).

When you submit an online reservation, you will receive an automated reservation confirmation. Please contact the reservations team with any questions you may have.

How can I pay

We accept debit cards (no charge), credit cards (2.5% surcharge) and international bank transfers.
We do not accept cheque payments.

Online Payments

You can pay for the balance of your holiday and holiday extras by logging into your Cornish Gems account.

Really good for the dogs as we were able to walk to Porthkidney beach The house had lots of books and plenty of cutlery crockery etc and the welcome gift was a nice touch - everyone felt very comfortable in the house and it was just the right size for the extended family.
