Perranporth Beach | Dog Friendly Dunes in Cornwall

Nestled along the wonderful north coast, Perranporth Beach loves dogs just as much as we all do. With no bans, this is the ultimate Cornwall’s dog friendly hotspot throughout the whole year, your pups can roam freely, through the blonde sands, wild dunes or salty sea. Frizbee recommends this idyllic beach, because there’s heaps of free space and new smells to discover. Your pups can even help you out on a surfing lesson!

This countryside haven is the ideal place for your dogs to explore. To the south of Bodmin, Lanhydrock House is a National Trust property, with fabulous gardens and surrounding walks. There’s even a cafe, where you and your pups can grab a snack after your adventure. Huckleberry loves walking around Lanhydrock, as there’s places to paddle in the river or zoom around the lushious fields. He also enjoys a packet of mini-cheddars at the cafe afterwards.

Lansallos is one of Bishop’s favourite places to go walkies, as he has a knack for finding crabs in the rockpools, after a picnic on the beach.

Another beautiful beach for pups is Portreath Beach. Although there are seasonal restrictions, between 10am-6pm during the summer months, this beach is a prime destination for an evening stroll, along with a splash in the sea. Based along the north coast, Portreath is a unique spot for catching the waves, which your salty sea dogs will be sure to enjoy. Lily certainly approves of Portreath Beach and recommends getting paws-deep in the gleaming sands.
